Good news! The first official service pack for N-central 7.0, SP1, is now available for installation.

In addition to the much anticipated Endpoint Security compatibility for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008R2, SP1 includes numerous fixes and enhancements such as:

- The addition of VNC as a remote control option for Essentials licenses

- Faster remote desktop support connections with improved end user access (less clicks)

- Ability to run N-central as a guest in Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V environments

- Integration of self-healing scheduling with device downtime windows

- A new asset tab at the device level showing detailed hardware and software information, as well as configurable asset management properties

- Performance improvements in Windows Event Log monitoring

To download the new SP1 service pack and get more details on installation requirements, new features and enhancements, please visit the N-able Resource Center.  Note that if you are already running N-central 7.0 HF1 or greater, your server likely downloaded the new service pack for you already – be sure to check.  For N-able Partners who are on the hosted system, we are finalizing a schedule with our operations team for the server farm upgrade – so stay tuned!
