As you no doubt heard, N-able hit the ground running in 2010 with the general availability of N-central 7.0! Today, we have more than 900 partners running N-central 7.0 – an unprecedented uptake rate for a new release.

With N-central 7.0, N-able partners not only profit from using the managed services industry’s first freemium remote monitoring and management platform – a hybrid of free and paid licenses – but they also gain a number of impressive features such as managed endpoint security, self-healing and full compatibility with Windows 7.

But the innovations don’t stop there. The N-able product team is also introducing a number of new releases including:

N-central 7.0 Hotfix 1 – Now generally available, this new hotfix will automatically download to On-Premise N-central servers or can also be downloaded manually from the N-able Resource Center.  Hosted partners will receive a notice when we upgrade the hosted server farm. Hotfix 1 includes a number of fixes, as well as endpoint security support for Windows Small Business Server 2008 and support to deploy N-central on Windows 2008R2 Hyper-V servers. If you are a supported N-able partner, you can download this hotfix now from the N-able Resource Center (login required).

N-central 7.0 Service Pack 1 – The first official service pack for N-central, this will include endpoint security support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008R2, as well as an updated Attended Remote Control feature in addition to numerous bug fixes and updates. Availability is expected in early to mid Q2. If you are a supported N-able partner, keep checking the Resource Center’s downloads area (login required) for availability.

More innovations are in the works, so stay tuned!
